Also, I have a UK site with tips and tutorials that will help you be more successful on the international trade scene. I've got a map portal that will give you one contact point for dozens of map sites on the Web. Finally, I have a fun site with popular tools to help you with your digital photos!
And don't forget -- if you'd like more information about
international trade, go to FITA's Really Useful Links (
http://fita.org/webindex ), which has a link library
of more than 8,000 sites related to international trade.
| MOROCCO Our Featured Country
Morocco has been a gateway to trade with Europe, Africa, and the Middle East for more than a thousand years, and it's still a thriving trade center. In 2006, Morocco imported over US $21 billion, and that was also the year that a new free trade agreement between the U.S. and Morocco went into effect. There are many opportunities for trade with Morocco, and a good site to visit to research them is the United States-Morocco Free Trade Agreement ( http://www.moroccousafta.com/index_ang.htm ). This site has all the information about the free trade agreement, plus trade data, background information about Morocco, downloadable reports, trade regulations, exporting tips, instructions for calculating tariffs, and links to government sites, trade shows, and trade leads.
You'll also find plenty of good research at the Morocco Mini Portal ( http://fita.org/countries/morocco.html ), a feature of the FITA Web site. The Morocco Mini Portal has an overview of the country, with facts about the language, currency, climate, etc., plus more specific information about the economy, markets, taxes, labor market indicators, and tips on doing business in Morocco.
Click on "Useful Links" and you'll find a variety of sources for market research, trade leads, business directories, logistics, government contacts, travel, financing, and lots more.
The Morocco Mini Portal is one of many research gateways at the FITA site. To find Mini Portals for other regions or countries, just click on "Country Profiles" from within a Mini Portal, or at the FITA home page ( http://www.fita.org ).
FITA's Global Trade Book Store has some excellent books about doing
business in Morocco. Check out Culture Shock! Morocco: A Survival Guide to Customs and Etiquette and Morocco - Culture Smart!: a quick guide to customs and etiquette.
The Moroccan American Business Council is a FITA member association. Their website
offers more resources about doing business with Morocco.
And click here to search the FITA Member Directory for links to FITA member associations' websites.

NEED A MAP? TRY EMBASSYWORLD MAP SEARCH Maps for Most Countries
There are map sites all over the Web, but instead of adding a bunch of them to your bookmarks, I suggest using EmbassyWorld Map Search ( http://www.embassyworld.com/maps/maps.html ). This is a portal to maps at the EmbassyWorld site, and it's very comprehensive. Just select a country from the drop-down list, click "Launch Map Page", and you'll get a list of links to maps and background information on that country. Most countries will have at least a dozen links, and some of the maps include demographic information, cities, political divisions, historical perspectives, travel information, satellite views, and lots of facts & figures. The EmbassyWorld site also has search functions for finding embassies and phone numbers worldwide.
