POLAND
Our Featured Country

With more than 38 millions inhabitants Poland is the 7th largest country in the European Union and the most populated of the Central and East European area Wages are catching up (even if slowly) and household consumption remains an important area of growth. Its central location on the European continent facilitates access to countries in the neighborhood. Because of the international financial crisis, the zloty depreciated rapidly against the US dollar. But since February the trend has reversed, enabling increased imports.

The Trade and Investment Promotion Sections of the Polish Embassies can help you to find trading partners and improve your sales in Poland. Visit the website of the office in Washington or New York. And also consult the US Commercial Service’s Poland website to learn more about opportunities in Poland.

If that’s not enough, you’ll also find plenty of good research at the Poland Mini Portal, a feature of the FITA Web site. The Poland Mini Portal has an overview of Poland, with facts about the language, currency, climate, etc., plus more specific information about the economy, markets, taxes, labor market indicators, and tips on doing business in Poland. Click on "Useful Links" and you’ll find a variety of sources for market research, trade leads, business directories, logistics, government contacts, travel, financing, and lots more.

The Poland Mini Portal is one of many research gateways at the FITA site. To find Mini Portals for other regions or countries, just click on "Country Profiles" from within a Mini Portal, or at the FITA home page.
