find the information you need. Finally, I have a site where you

If you'd like more information about international trade, go to FITA's

source for trade leads, news, events, and a link library of 7,000 sites related
to international trade.
| THE CZECH REPUBLIC -- OUR FEATURED COUNTRY SITE
The Czech Republic, formerly part of Soviet-controlled
Czechoslovakia, is considered one of the most stable and
prosperous of the post-Communist states of Central Europe. The
country has continued to privatize many industries and liberalize
its trade policies, and is poised to join the European Union this
year.
If you'd like to find out more about trade opportunities with the Czech Republic,
go to the Czech Republic page at CEEBIC
( http://www.mac.doc.gov/ceebic/countryr/czechr.htm ). The U.S. Department of
Commerce runs the Central and Eastern Europe Business Information Center (CEEBIC),
and there's plenty of useful information here. There's an exporting guide, a
country profile, detailed market research, an investment climate statement,
information about financing, key contacts, U.S. embassy reports, business news,
links to government agencies, and much more.
There are more useful links to the Czech Republic at the FITA site. Simply
go to http://www.fita.org/webindex/countries.html,
then go to "Europe" and click on Czech Republic. Or, you can type "Czech Republic"
in the search box at http://www.fita.org.

TRIPADVISOR -- STOP HERE BEFORE YOU BOOK YOUR TRIP
Sometimes I wonder how we ever planned trips before the Internet existed.
Visiting travel-oriented Web sites these days is as essential to my travel plans
as packing a toothbrush. And TripAdvisor
( http://www.tripadvisor.com ), which I've just discovered, is one of the best.
This site has reviews by travelers of worldwide destinations and hotels, a message
forum where you can ask questions of other travelers and contribute your opinions,
a way to book hotel rooms, car rentals, and airline flights, not to mention
restaurant listings, city guides, and much more. Wherever you're traveling in
the world, TripAdvisor can help you save money and have more fun.

INFORMATION PLEASE -- THE ANSWER TO ALL YOUR QUESTIONS
Here's one I'm going to tell my kids to bookmark, for quick reference when
they're doing their homework. Information
Please ( http://www.infoplease.com ) calls itself "the world's largest free
reference site", and it's certainly impressive. There are facts here on thousands
of subjects, including sports, entertainment, technology, business, education,
and health. You can look up the meaning of a word, find a map, read a biography
of a famous person, learn about investing, see a list of the leading all-time
Olympic gold medal winners, do a crossword puzzle, take a quiz, look up world
holidays -- and that's just a sampling of what's available at this information-rich
site.
